Helping our customers get SORTED!
As we all try to navigate through this difficult time, here are a few helpful tips and steps we think you can take to keep you productive through the coronavirus outbreak.
PROTECT
Yourself and Others
The NHS has outlined a number of measures to help keep our population safe and to protect the NHS. The official guidelines from the World Health Organisation can be found here - www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/advice-for-public
There are lots of tips to help yourself stay well while you’re at home: stay in touch with family and friends over the phone or on social media, try to keep yourself busy with activities you enjoy like, reading, online learning and watching films, doing some light exercise at home, or getting outside once a day (and keeping your safe 2m gaps!)
Your Business
The government has outlined a number of financial packages to help businesses survive the impact of Covid-19. Speak to your business advisers and make sure you are aware of all the different things that can help you. There are lots of websites offering guidance but the official government source of information can be found here:

LEARN
We provide full details on our suite of fenestration products and guides on our website which you can download and read. This is changing all the time with new information (most recently our roofing range). Have a look and update your knowledge of what is available and the different features of each that you can talk to your customers about in the future when we all get back to normal business.
We will be introducing a live chat feature to our website very soon, so please drop us a message and let us know how you’re doing and whether there is anything we can do to help you. We are hoping to be providing webinars over the next few weeks on marketing tips, how to access installation videos and how to improve your own website and digital assets etc. We exist only to support and help our customers and this is never more important than in these difficult times, so reach out!
If web chat isn’t your thing then check out our YouTube channel. There are some great product videos on there and there is something with more details for nearly everything we offer. We know how busy you usually are so this is a good change while we are all inside to keep up with the latest product information.
Here are a few of our top picks for your social distancing YouTube playlist -

• How to install a SUPALITE roof - www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRt9FEpenHw
• Product information on the innovative Virtu-al doors - www.youtube.com/watch?v=YEo6rJtrM4I
We are working hard to update our videos regularly so there’s something new to watch throughout the coming weeks. If there is anything that you would particularly like us to find and add, please let us know.
INFORM
With any gaps in your product knowledge updated you will be well placed to pass on this information to possible customers. At the time when the restrictions came in to place you would most likely have had customers who had made contact that you hadn’t got round to seeing yet. There will be lots of others sitting at home thinking about what they will do on their renovation projects when things get back to normal. All the product information on our website is available to share.
Simply go to www.stevenswood.co.uk/downloads-guides and then click on the brochure you want to email. Go to the browser bar at the top of the opened guide, highlight the text and press copy, then go into your emails and paste into the body of the email. You are now ready to send the brochure link to the customer.
We think it’s important for you to keep the information flowing on your social media channels like your business Facebook page, and it’s a perfect contactless environment, to do so. You have to keep your customers up to date on when you might reopen but you can also post positively about how you can help them. You can advise, chat, inform and send brochures. This will help you set up and arrange visits for when this is possible again.
We’ve always understood the importance of reassuring customers on security and quality, that’s why we launched the Stevenswood Protection Promise. This scheme is applicable to our customers who purchase qualifying products, and who are part of a competent person scheme like FENSA or CERTASS. There are now a wider range of schemes that qualify such as Glass and Glazing Federation, TrustATrader, Checkatrade, Federation of Master Builders, Rehau or Veka approved installers. For more information please visit www.stevenswood.co.uk/news/enhanced-security-now-as-standard
If you are part of the any of the schemes listed above you can offer this homeowner guarantee. We can update your free bespoke marketing packs with details on the Stevenswood Protection Promise to help you explain the benefits to your customers. We also have a handy leaflet you can give to the homeowner explaining the scheme and giving them instructions on how to register. No other window or door company offers a homeowner guarantee as good as this, so make sure you help your customer to understand it and get the benefit of it!
